In selected technologies, additional sub-codes are used to identify further processing stages, controlled conditions and post-production procedures associated with the final formulation.
The process does not end when the ingredients are combined.
Following the initial formulation and manufacturing stages, selected systems undergo additional controlled processes designed to stabilise, mature and progressively develop the characteristics of the formulation. Depending on the technology, these stages may continue over an extended period of time before the material reaches the performance profile required for use in the finished professional product.
